The C360 series bidirectional DC contactors are designed for switching high power in limited space. With a maximum making current (Icm) of up to 2,500 A and a continuous current capacity (Ith) of up to 500 A, this series provides a reliable solution for applications with high inrush currents and large power loads.
Thanks to optimized contact forces and an efficient arc chamber, the contactors can conduct up to 3,000 A for 1 second without the contacts welding, ensuring safe and reliable disconnection. The full bidirectional operation makes the C360 series ideal for applications in railway vehicles, traction converters, and battery circuits.
The C360 series includes three variants, tailored to different applications:
- C360K - Suitable for DC voltages up to 1,500 V, featuring a large arc chamber for maximum switching capacity and reliability.
- C360A - Designed for voltages up to 1,000 V DC, with a smaller arc chamber for more efficient switching and reduced heat generation.
- C360S - Specifically developed for lower voltages up to 60 V DC, without an arc chamber, making it ideal for compact installations with limited switching loads.
With these variants, the C360 series provides a flexible and robust solution for applications where high DC voltages and currents need to be switched, particularly in railway networks and energy storage systems.
