In applications with non-linear loads, harmonic currents occur, causing additional reactive power and a deterioration of the Power Factor (PF) at the point of connection. An Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) compensates not only reactive power and phase imbalance, but also harmonic currents.
Application:
- Installations predominantly with electronic loads and/or converters
- Installations with BESS and generation from solar and/or wind
- Better utilisation of your connection capacity for connections up to and including 3x250A
- Relieving the neutral conductor
- Achieving grid compliance (continuous control of cos phi to 1)
- Improving the Power Factor (PF)
- Improving the energy efficiency of the installation (up to 2% reduction in CO2 emissions and kWh)
- Thanks to the ultra-fast response time, ideally suited to renewable energy systems
AHF benefits:
- Compensates both inductive and capacitive reactive power
- Compensates distortion reactive power
- Fast response time (<5ms)
- Fast and stepless, preventing over- or under-compensation
- Low weight (3x150 A < 25 kg!)
- Compact dimensions
- Not overloadable and insensitive to resonances and harmonics
- Low maintenance
Notes:
- The SVG must be installed in a lockable technical room that is climate-controlled and dust-free.
- For optimum filtering performance, we recommend having a Fortop engineer commission the filter.
Features:
- Supplied including IP21 protective cover
- Equipped with TCP and I/O card for integration into power monitoring systems
- Compact dimensions
- Voltage 230/400V
- Built-in HMI for monitoring and configuration
