The Inxpect Plug&Safe Line is a series of compact radar sensors for industrial applications where reliable safety detection is essential. The sensors use 60?GHz FMCW radar technology and are designed for situations where traditional detection technologies fall short – for example, in dusty, humid or visually obstructed environments.
Reliable safety solution
The Plug&Safe Line provides a reliable solution for monitoring access zones and detecting people in hazardous areas. The sensors are fully designed for quick installation and easy configuration: setting height, length (and optionally width) is sufficient to activate a reliable detection zone. Configuration is done via Inxpect Safety Studio, where the detection area can be visualised and verified in 3D.
Two variantsThe series consists of two variants:
- S202A-MV for presence sensing
- S202A-MS for safeguarding applications
Presence sensing is intended to detect the presence of people in a hazardous zone, even when someone is standing still. The sensor prevents a machine from restarting as long as movement is detected – for example, after an emergency stop or during an automatic restart.
Safeguarding focuses on immediately stopping hazardous machine movements as soon as someone enters a monitored area. The sensor acts as a virtual safety light curtain and is ideal for securing open installations or robot cells, for example.
M12 connector
Each sensor features a robust 5-pin M12 connector and complies with applicable safety standards. Thanks to its compact design and fast commissioning, the Plug&Safe Line is ideal for both new installations and retrofit projects.
