The SafeReady series consists of compact safety light curtains for personnel and machine protection in industrial environments. The series is suitable for finger, hand and body detection, offers protected heights up to approx. 2 metres and detection distances up to 18 metres, and complies with safety level Type 4, SIL 3 and PL e (Cat. 4). Thanks to the robust aluminium profile, the IP65/67 protection rating and resistance to shocks and vibrations, the light curtains are suitable for use in a wide range of industrial environments.
Key features of the SafeReady series
The light curtains have no dead zone at either end, allowing the full protective field to be utilised. LEDs on the front provide visual indication of alignment and operating status. The light curtains feature dual beam coding to prevent interference and are equipped with 2 safe OSSD outputs. Depending on the model, start/restart functions, EDM feedback and additional functions are available. Cabling is implemented via M12 connectors, simplifying installation and replacement.
Basic, Standard and Plus: functional differences
The Basic models are equipped with automatic restart. The Standard models add start/restart selection and integrated EDM monitoring. The Plus models offer extensions such as configurable blanking functions and Bluetooth configuration for settings and diagnostics via an app. In addition, functions such as muting, PSDI and master/slave cascading are available.
Typical applications
SafeReady light curtains are used in applications such as robotic cells, press and bending machines, assembly stations, cutting machines and automated parking systems. Thanks to the range of resolutions, heights and functions, the series can be adapted for both fine detection near hazardous areas and guarding of larger zones.
