SMC32 SMC32Y Carbon Steel Bimetallic Steam Traps
A static water separator used for the efficient separation of the liquid phase from steam, compressed air, or other gases. Depending on the application, the appropriate steam condensate pot (FT) or compressed air condensate pot (CA) should be provided to drain the condensates/liquids.
For steam applications
Install an FT float condensate pot and an AV air vent
For compressed air / gases
Install a CA compressed air condensate pot.
StandardsThis product by Spirax Sarco fully complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and is designed and manufactured according to EN 13445:2002 'Non-exposed to flame load pressure vessels'.
Certification
This product is available with an EN10204 3.1 material certificate. A complete data dossier is available at an additional cost. Note: All certificates and/or tests/reports must be requested at the time of ordering.

DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, and DN350
Flanges EN 1092 PN16 or PN40 with BSP thread for venting and draining.
Flanges ASME B16.5 Class 150 or 300 with NPT thread for venting and draining.
Flanges JIS/KS 20K with BSP thread for venting and draining.
Threaded, socket weld, and other connections are also available.
Material
All parts of the S8 are made of austenitic stainless steel (304). For a carbon steel version, see (S7).
