320 Round tank Sight Glass PN16 For welding, according to DIN 28120
Our round tank sight glasses of Type 320 are either welded onto or into a vessel wall, allowing observation or illumination of the vessel interior. ACI tank sight glasses of Type 320 are designed according to DIN 28120 and can seamlessly replace existing fittings according to the same standard. A sight glass made of chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass DIN 7080 (or similar) is clamped between two high-quality stainless steel flanges and proven quality seals. Our tank sight glass meets all standard operating conditions, including resistance to vacuum and an operating pressure of up to 16 bar(g).
Beyond the definitions of DIN 28120, we also offer Type 320 in special sizes of DN 250 and higher. These sizes, not specified in the standard, are designed in full conformity with DIN 28120 and DIN 7080 (or similar). This ensures that even in such special cases, it is possible to utilize the application limits according to the standard.
Our tank sight glasses of Type 320 are crafted from high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti), valued by our customers for years. The glass material used is borosilicate glass 3.3 according to DIN 7080 (or similar), a proven industry standard. The fitting is sealed with flat gaskets adapted to your needs from an extensive range of materials, offering not only commonly used fiber gaskets but also more demanding materials like PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, graphite, and various branded gaskets.
If the maximum operating temperature of 280°C falls short of your requirements, or if process conditions pose challenges for the highly resistant borosilicate glass, a specially adapted FEP or mica protective screen offers additional protection against steam and aggressive chemicals, including alkalis up to a pH value of 14.
Similar to our other sightglass fittings, our Type 320 can optionally be equipped with SV1 spray devices, SGW, or SWII type wipers (with a flexible shaft) or lights.
