The ACI Three-Way Flow Sight Glass, designated as Type 590, builds upon the robust structure of our proven high-pressure sight glass, Type 520. Type 590 introduces an additional process connection and customized viewing windows to suit diverse operating conditions.
Benefiting from the solid casing structure of Type 520, the 3-way sight glass Type 590 offers flexibility by accommodating additional connections or measuring connections with a female thread, or ducts for measuring probes, as needed.
Our casings are crafted exclusively from high-quality stainless steel and steel with pressure container approval according to AD2000. The sight glasses are available in various materials, including the highly corrosion-resistant 1.4571, acid-resistant 1.4539, special alloys like Hastelloy, duplex steels, and more. Type 590 features the same proven borosilicate glass DIN 7080 found in our other fittings. Depending on your process conditions, we equip our devices with glass according to DIN 7080, incorporating thermal prestressing for round sight glass panels made of borosilicate glass. Additionally, glass panels in special sizes similar to DIN 7080 for increased pressure, quartz, sapphire glass for very high temperatures, or metal-fused "meta glass" are also part of our product range.
For sealing our Type 590 sight glass, we utilize high-quality flat seals from reputable manufacturers such as Frenzelit novaphit MSTXP with TA air approval, KlingerSIL C4400 with DVGW approval, Garlock Gylon, or virginal PTFE for chemically challenging applications. Mica compound materials are employed for applications with very high temperatures.
Similar to our other sight glass types with round viewing windows, Type 590 can be customized with features like wipers, lighting, or other enhancements to meet your specific needs.
