596 Cross View Sight Glass With four Viewports
The ACI flow sight glass Type 596 is designed with four viewports to provide the best possible observation of your processes while maintaining pressure compatibility.
Type 596 features four perpendicular viewing openings, allowing observation of the inside of the pipe from nearly all directions. It is ideal for locations where a 360° process observation is desired, but where our Type 620 may not withstand the operating pressure.
Similar to our Type 595, the sight glass holders of Type 596 can accommodate instrument brackets for probes, measuring devices, and other equipment instead of sight glass panels. This flexibility allows Type 596 to function as a modular measuring station.
In its standard model, Type 596 comes with sight glass panels made of borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080, capable of withstanding high temperatures and most acids. If these industrial glasses do not meet your specific requirements, Type 596 can be supplied, upon request, with viewing windows made of quartz or sapphire glass.
For sealing, we utilize high-quality flat seals. Type 596 is available with the proven universal seal KlingerSIL C4400, Frenzelit novaphit MST for higher requirements, or pure PTFE for almost unlimited chemical resilience. Permanently elastic seals such as EPDM, FKM, NBR, or silicone are also part of our product range.
To ensure that the casing of Type 596 aligns with your process conditions, we stock proven pressure container steel such as P365GH or S235JRG2, as well as corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4571 or the widely used 1.4404. If required, Type 596 sight glass can also be manufactured from Hastelloy and many other special alloys.
