HM and HM34 Inverted Bucket Steam Traps
Revisable cast iron bell float steam trap, to be installed in a horizontal pipe. Available in screwed and flanged versions, and with an optional built-in blowdown valve.
Available Options:- Built-in blowdown valve: for removing residual dirt in the filter.
- External air vent: thermostatic element for quickly and efficiently removing air, both bimetallic and pressure-balanced elements are available.
- Sound dampers: used when steam is vented to the atmosphere to reduce noise and high flow velocities.
Diameters and Connections:- Internal thread BSP, NPT: HM00 - 1/2 HM10 - 3/4 HM12 - 1.
- Flanges according to BS 4505 and DIN PN16: HM003 - DN15 HM103 - DN20 HM123 - DN25.

Installation:
The steam trap is mounted in a horizontal pipe, with the cover at the top and the housing upright so that the float can move freely up and down. To avoid loss of the water seal, the steam trap is mounted as close as possible and under the steam space that needs to be drained, so that the condensate flows in under gravity.
