ST14 / ST16 / ST17 SpiratecSensor Chambers and Sensors
The Spiratec leak detection system is designed to detect leaking steam traps in a steam installation. When used in conjunction with the R1C or R16C monitor and the WLS1 condensate backflow sensor, the system also allows for the detection of steam traps that fail in the closed position or become blocked.
Available types:
Standard version: the sensor connection is located on the right side of the detection chamber as seen in the flow direction.
Upon request, detection chambers can be supplied with the connection on the other side (type ST 171L).
The detection chambers are available in two configurations:
- Equipped with a standard sensor type SS1 (leak detection only)
- Without a sensor. A combined sensor type WLS1 for leak detection and condensate backflow is available separately.
The Spiratec sensors are designed to be mounted in the Spiratec detection chambers. They are part of the Spiratec leak detection system for condensate traps.
Available types:
- Standard sensor type SS1: for the detection of steam leaks only. Used in conjunction with a detection chamber, a manual indicator type 30, or an automatic condensate trap monitor type R1C or R16C. The SS1 sensors are pre-mounted in the detection chamber upon delivery.
- Sensor for condensate backflow type WLS1: for the detection of leaking or blocked condensate traps or traps that fail in the closed position. Only used in conjunction with the R1C or R16C monitor. The WLS1 sensors are delivered separately and must be assembled on-site in the detection chambers.
Detection chambers without sensors are also available.
Option:
Probe plug, to protect the external connection of the SS1 probe from dirt, etc.
The detection chamber must be mounted immediately before the condensate trap, in a horizontal pipe and with the flow direction in the direction of the arrow on the housing.
