SVL488 Stainless Steel Sanitary Safety Valve Spirax Sarco
Spring-loaded safety valve in stainless steel, with soft sealing and full light height, TÜV certified, suitable for steam, gases, and liquids.
Suitable for:- Protection of low-pressure steam equipment
- Pipes and pressure vessels
- Especially in construction and beverage industries where very high standards of hygiene and purity prevail to ensure product quality and minimize the risk of contamination.
Available types:- SVL488-B with gas-tight cap for liquids
- SVL488-C with gas-tight lever for steam (or for other applications where a lever is specified)
Note:
Both types have a closed spring housing and a soft sealing and bellows in EPDM.
Certificates:
The safety valve is delivered as standard with a Type Test Report indicating the set pressure and the pressure of the cold water pressure test. On request and at an additional cost: certificate in accordance with EN 10204 3.1.
Standards and approvals:- TÜV according to AD Merkblatt A2, TRD421, and Td TüV SV100.
- The safety valve is designed in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive EC/97/23 (PED). The safety valve belongs to category 4 and is designed for media belonging to groups 1 and 2 (gases and liquids).
