Safety Valve - Spring-loaded - Stainless Steel SVL606
The SVL606 is a stainless steel, flanged safety valve with full lift and is TÜV certified. The safety valve is suitable for steam, gas, and liquids.
Two variants of this safety valve are available:
- SVL606-B with gas-tight cap for liquids.
- SVL606-C with gas-tight lever for steam (or for other applications where a lever is specified).
Note:
Both variants have a closed spring housing.
The SVL606 is suitable for:
- Overpressure protection of steam boilers, pipelines, pressure vessels, and for the most common industrial applications.
- Especially where a safety valve in stainless steel is required to minimize the risk of contamination or where hygienic and/or aseptic regulations apply.
- This valve is also suitable for use with freezing mixtures.
Standards and approvals:
Certified by TÜV according to AD Merkblatt A2 and TRD421. The safety valve is designed in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive EC/97/23. The safety valve belongs to category 4 and is designed for media belonging to groups 1 and 2 (gases and liquids). Contact Spirax-Sarco to check the compatibility of the fluid.

Options:
- Flanges: ANSI B 16.5 flanges are available on request.
- Soft sealing is available (contact Spirax Sarco for pressure and temperature limits).
- Special springs for increasing the set pressure. Available for select sizes only.
