High Temperature Sight Glass - Type 323 for Flange Connection
The ACI tank sight glass Type 323 is a versatile variant of the Type 321, designed for a wider range of applications, particularly at elevated temperatures. These sight glasses are utilized for observing and illuminating the interiors of closed tanks, such as boilers, tanks, and silos.
The PTFE-encapsulated gaskets typically used in Type 321 become unsafe when subjected to temperatures above 200°C. They are not suitable for specific applications. To overcome this limitation, we have equipped the Type 323 with high-quality graphite composite seals. This upgrade extends the operational temperature range of the borosilicate glass plates according to DIN 7080 up to 280°C, or even up to 300°C when using a mica disc.
Even beyond the DIN 7080 limits, the Type 323 can be employed without any issues at temperatures up to 400°C thanks to the use of high-performance materials like quartz glass or sapphire glass. For temperatures higher than this, please reach out to us for custom solutions.
With its sealing in the force shunt, the Type 323 offers the same advantages as our well-proven Type 321. The sightglass plate remains optimally protected around its entire circumference, and the fitting can be easily installed or replaced as a single component. The valve is fully assembled at the factory and can undergo pressure resistance and tightness tests upon request, ensuring 100% quality assurance.
Just like the Type 321, the Type 323 sightglass can also be equipped with LED or halogen lamp-based lighting directly from our production, as per your requirements.
