ACI manhole sight glasses Type 325 serve to close manholes and inspection openings on tanks, silos, and vessels. Unlike common manhole closures, Type 325 is equipped with a sight glass mount similar to DIN 28120, ensuring safe observation of processes inside the tank.
Our sight glasses Type 325 are crafted from high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti), a material appreciated by our customers for years. The glass material used is industry-proven borosilicate glass 3.3 in accordance or similar to DIN 7080. In cases where highly resistant borosilicate glass faces challenges due to process conditions, a specially adapted FEP or mica protective screen provides additional protection against steam and aggressive chemicals, such as alkalis, up to a pH value of 14.
The fitting is sealed with flat gaskets tailored to your requirements from an extensive range of materials. In addition to widely used fiber gaskets (e.g., KLINGERSIL® C-4400), PTFE (Teflon®), NBR, graphite (e.g., Frenzelit novaphit®), and many other branded gaskets are available for special applications.
Upon request and after technical verification, the manhole sight glass Type 325 can be equipped with cleaning devices such as wipers SGW and spraying devices or with lights to illuminate the interior.
