Inline sight glass with double glazing Type 530 D
The ACI Flow sight glass type 530D is a welded construction with flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1. The double-glazed inspection windows on the opposite side offer increased safety compared to single glazing.
The welded tubular construction of the ACI Type 530 Flow sight glass saves a large part of the weight compared to the widely used sight glasses with cast housings without compromising on pressure resistance. As with most of our sightglasses, the glass panes are made of high-quality borosilicate glass DIN 7080 (MAXOS®), or according to the standard specially manufactured glass panes, if your operating pressure exceeds the working range of the standard configuration.
For very hot media, our inline sight glass type 530 D is also available with high-temperature quartz or sapphire glass panes. In chemically demanding operating conditions, we are able to protect the glasses with mica discs or protective discs made of FEP or PCTFE.
In most cases, we use high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti) or 1.4404 as housing material, which has high acid resistance and is excellently suited for most applications. Should even this excellent material reach its limits, our sight glass fitting type 530 D is available in a variety of other steel or stainless steel types such as Hastelloy, Duplex material, highly acid-resistant 1.4539, and many other materials.
Quality gaskets made of proven materials such as KlingerSIL C4400, novaphit MST, pure PTFE, or, for very high temperatures, mica composite materials ensure tight inspection openings.
