Inline Sight Glass Type 551K with Internal Thread and Indication Flap
The ACI Inline sight glass, Type 551K, offers a threaded connection, cast body, indication flap, and internal thread connection for diverse applications. The indicator flap helps visualize flow in both clear and turbid media.
The sight glasses are crafted from proven borosilicate industrial glass according to DIN 7080, ensuring high resistance to most media. For alkaline media and high temperatures, we recommend installing a mica screen to provide additional protection to the glass surface.
For sealing, we employ reliable flat gaskets from well-established manufacturers. In addition to aramid fiber material like KlingerSIL C4400, the flow sight glass Type 551K can also be equipped with graphite sealants such as Frenzelit novaphit MST. Soft sealing materials like silicone, EPDM, and NBR are also available from the factory.
Type 551K is available in various common steel and cast stainless steel alloys such as GG25 and 1.4408. Special materials like Hastelloy can be supplied upon request.
