Safety Inline sight glass with double glazing Type 586
The ACI Inline Sight Glass with Safety Double Glazing Type 586 has the same sealing in the force shunt as our Type 581 but is equipped with two glass panes per sight opening, enhancing operational safety.
The sight glasses, made of borosilicate glass according to DIN 7080, are also sealed by PTFE-coated corrugated ring seals according to DIN 28121 for the Flow Sight Glass Type 586. The socket is screwed in a way that the metal parts touch each other on the entire circumference, providing the best possible protection for the glass pane. Additionally, the glass sockets have O-ring seals to prevent leakage in the event of glass breakage. Type 586 significantly increases operational safety, ensuring that no process medium can escape from the valve even if the inner glass pane fails.
If the relatively low maximum operating temperature of the PTFE-enveloped gasket, up to 200°C, is not sufficient for your application, it is possible to use graphite composite gaskets instead of the corrugated ring gasket based on the standard with our Flow Sight Glass Type 586. This allows full utilization of the maximum temperature range of the glass pane, reaching 280°C. For an additionally extended temperature range, we also offer quartz sight glasses, ensuring that Type 586 can meet any challenge.
You can select the body material according to your requirements from our extensive range of steel and stainless steel alloys with pressure equipment approval. In addition to commercially available alloys such as P265GH or 1.4571, we can also supply special materials such as Hastelloy or other nickel-based alloys to meet the highest demands.
