327 Screwed Sight Glass DIN11851 Pipe Thread
The ACI threaded sight glass, based on EN 10357 (old DIN 11851), is specially designed for use in the food industry, medicine, and other areas with high hygiene requirements.
The base flange of the sight glass is welded to an open pipe socket according to DIN 11850 or EN 10357, forming a resilient and tight connection with the rest of the system. On the media side, the borosilicate glass disc, compliant with the DIN 7080 standard, is sealed by a gasket ring made of NBR, FKM (Viton), or PTFE, specially shaped for milk pipe screw connections. A groove nut provides the necessary support.
If the process conditions pose a problem even for the highly resistant borosilicate glass, an FEP or mica protective screen, specially adapted for the fitting, offers additional protection against steam and aggressive chemicals, such as alkalis up to a pH value of 14.
Similar to our other sightglass fittings, the Type 327 can be equipped with a wiper type SWI or lights upon request.
