Tank Sight Glass Type 321 PN 10/25
Our circular tank sight glasses, known as type 321, are threaded onto flanges in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1, allowing for the observation or illumination of the tank interior. These ACI tank sight glasses are crafted based on DIN 28121 standards, accommodating operating pressures up to 25 bar. They serve as convenient replacement parts for existing fittings per DIN 28121.
A sight glass, composed of chemically resistant borosilicate glass DIN 7080, is clamped between two premium stainless steel flanges, secured with a PTFE-enclosed resilient gasket on the media side. The force shunt design of the gasket ensures that the flange parts of the sight glass rest directly on top of each other, offering optimal protection for the glass plate.
Type 321 is delivered pre-assembled from the factory, allowing direct screwing onto a flange according to DIN EN 1092-1 without additional effort. In the unlikely event of glass damage during operation, the entire fitting can be replaced with minimal effort.
Our type 321 tank sight glasses are constructed from high-quality stainless steel 1.4571 (316Ti), a material appreciated by our customers for years. The glass material used is borosilicate glass 3.3 according to DIN 7080, proven in the industry. The force shunt sealing eliminates the need for gasket adjustments, and the PTFE-enclosed resilient gasket makes type 321 suitable for various substances, including foodstuffs, acids, alkalis, and aggressive chemicals.
If process conditions challenge even the highly resistant borosilicate glass, an FEP or mica protective screen tailored for the fitting provides additional protection against steam and aggressive chemicals, such as alkalis up to a pH value of 14.
Similar to our other sightglass fittings, Type 321 can be optionally equipped with spray devices, SWI type wipers, or lights.
